Besides the Moondog tribute mentioned below, I’ll be playing music from three excellent new releases this week.
Mary Lattimore’s Goodbye, Hotel Arkada is out in full on Ghostly. She’s touring the US in October and November, including a stop at Motorco Music Hall in Durham. (Edit – I played tracks from this record over the past two weeks; will skip this week, and play another piece from this record next week.)
Jonathan Fitoussi and Suzanne Ciani’s collaborative recording, The Golden Apples of the Sun, is also released this week on Fitoussi’s own Transversales label. Read this interview to get the story on how these two artists got together to make this record.
And finally, the new record from Hania Rani, titled Ghosts is on the shelves. She spoke to Music Radar about stretching her boundaries for this LP. She’s on tour in the EU in October, including a date in Dublin on the 24th, and in the US and Canada in November and December.
